(from www.longaberger.com) This auction is for a 2001 Longaberger Classic Hostess Weekender Basket. This unique basket is usually only available to the host or hostess of a Longaberger party that exceeds a high level of sales. It has a heavy WoodCrafts lid that is a unique combination of handwoven slats and hardwood. The lid is secured with two leather bindings. The basket is signed and dated with the year 2001 and the initials DJ, the person who hand-crafted it. This is a relatively large, show-piece basket!This auction includes the basket, deluxe 2-piece protector, one (1) spring fabric liner and a Longaberger card with instructions on how to tie knotted bows. We're in the process of posting a collection of Longaberger baskets. Each of them are in near perfect quality! They've been in storage in our non-smoking home, away from direct sunlight and still show deep wood stain and vivid liner colors!
